DUBAI: The number of vehicles that pass by the Ittihad Road on a daily basis is 260,000, revealed a senior Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) official on Sunday.
Executive Director at the RTA Engineer Maythaa Bin Odaii said that the number of vehicles coming to and from Dubai using the Ittihad Road is 13 per cent of the total number of vehicles that run in the Emirate.
These details were found through a traffic census conducted in Dubai.
She explained that there are several major roads that connect Dubai to Sharjah, including the Ittihad Road, Emirates Road, Bypass, Beirut and Damascus road.
The Ittihad Road is the most important one and it witnesses heavy traffic on a daily basis, she added.
