The Dubai Airports and the Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), have signed Service Exchange Agreement aimed at improving the quality of service delivered by DTC to passengers arriving and departing from Terminals 1, 2 and 3 of the Dubai International Airport.
Following the signing of the Agreement, Paul Griffiths praised the excellent cooperation and relationships linking Dubai Airports with Dubai Taxi and highlighted the importance of the Agreement in ensuring continually improved passenger ground transit services; which will also have an impact on the standing and profile of the Airport in topping airports worldwide in terms of quality services.
For his part Abdul Aziz Malik said: “Dubai Airports is a strategic partner and this Agreement is an important step towards boosting the reputation of the Dubai Airport. DTC will mobilize full resources to deliver best-in-class, comfortable and safe services to the users of the Airport; which is the main gate of the Dubai Emirate.”
“Quality and excellence in service are integral components of DTC brand, and to deal with a facility, as massive as Dubai Airports, brings us under additional challenges particularly under the record growth in passenger traffic and Airport visitors. This Agreement is therefore intended to realize our joint ambitions in proceeding ahead with the excellence drive towards epitomizing our vision of Safe & Smooth Transport for All,” added Malik.
Following the signing of the Agreement, discussions touched on the record passenger traffic growth rates recorded by the Airport where the number is anticipated to exceed 52 million this year. Such phenomenal growth triggers continuous challenges to the Airport’s service providers.
It is note-worthy that DTC deploys more than 350 taxicabs of various types and sizes to serve the users of Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3 round the clock, and plans are in hand to beef-up this number depending on passenger traffic trends in future.
