Nakheel has started work on a new 20-tower community worth Dh5 billion at its Deira Islands, the developer announced on Sunday.
With 16 residential buildings, two hotels and two serviced apartment complexes, Deira Islands Boulevard will transform the skyline at Dubai’s newest living and leisure hotspot, and play a key role in achieving the emirate’s 2021 tourism vision. Deira Islands is a 15.3 square kilometre waterfront city in Dubai’s Deira area.
Set on an area spanning nine million sq ft – the size of 118 international-standard football fields – the 20 towers at Deira Islands Boulevard will surround Deira Mall, Nakheel’s 6.5 million sq ft shopping, dining and leisure destination. Between them, they will contain nearly 2,900 apartments and townhouses for lease as well as around 1,000 hotel rooms and serviced apartments.
Nakheel has appointed consultants AE7 to oversee the design, engineering and construction supervision of the project, which is set for delivery in the second quarter of 2020. A construction tender will be released early next year. More info
