I have lived in Al Khail Gate in Al Quoz, Dubai, since August 1, 2009. In our compound, there are several accommodations provided by various companies to their staff. Our nearest shopping malls are Grand Shopping Mall and Al Khail Mall. Although they are within walking distance, there is no proper passage to reach the malls.

People walk on the sand which is very difficult since the nearby highway is mostly used by heavy vehicles.

The construction workers from various labour camps also visit these places regularly. In order to use public transportation, we need to go to these malls, as the bus stop is situated at their entrances. Even though there is a sign on the compound wall near the traffic light which states, ‘Private Property.

Trespassers will be prosecuted’, there is no other way to walk, since the road work has been going on for a long time. If there is a proper passage for pedestrians in this location, it would be very useful and safe for all those who reside in the area. I would like to humbly request the authorities to take the necessary steps for the safety of pedestrians.
