The Roads and Transport Authority’s charity drive is on track during the holy month of Ramadan with a Charity Bus filled with Ramadan Rations supplying them to needy families in Dubai.
Dr Aysha Al Busmait, Director of RTA Marketing and Corporate Communication, said, “RTA is actively engaged in interacting with all spectrums of the community to address their needs by all possible means. By so doing, it makes a bold statement that RTA’s tasks are not all about building bridges and tunnels or devoting its efforts solely to public transportation but also address the needs of others out of its joint responsibility with the community.”
Al Busmait explained that the Charity Bus initiative, which was launched during the current month of Ramadan, was considered one of the brand new initiatives and the first of its kind at RTA through which they were able to reach out to needy families in a bid to secure their basic needs of foodstuffs such as sugar, rice, flour, milk, and oil. The initiative therefore contributed to strengthening the bonds of cooperation and solidarity with those segments and bringing happiness to them.
“The community-oriented initiatives are also considered integral to RTA’s vision and its senior leadership endeavours to run different campaigns and initiatives in line with the requirements of the community members over and above its basic role of opening communication channels with all spectrums of the community, and contributing to charitable activities and events,” he added.
