The Ramadan Soccer Tournament staged by the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) has concluded two weeks of sporting competitions featuring participation of 132 employees representing all RTA sectors and agencies. The event was intended to foster a competitive sporting spirit among employees and exhort them to practice diverse sport disciplines.
The concluding events were attended by the CEO of Licensing Agency Ahmed Bahrozyan, RTA Board Member and CEO Mohammed Obaid Al Mulla, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council Ahmed Saad Al Sharif, and several officials.
Sultan Al Marzooki, Captain of RTA Sports Team, said: “This Tournament is an integral part of the sports activities staged during the holy month of Ramadan with the aim of nurturing recreational atmosphere for RTA employees in the evening after Taraweeh prayers which will help employees break their boundaries as well as the daily routines, engage in a vibrant environment, practice their hobbies and showcase their skills in a proper format.”
He commended the title sponsor Abu Dhabi National Islamic Finance, Emirates Sports Investment, and SERCO (Dubai Metro Operator) for supporting this Tournament and contributing to the success made; which reflects the extent of joint cooperation with other entities and their responsibilities towards various community members.
